Barry Trucking Inc Network

Project Summary

The project entailed the implementation of a network infrastructure for a small trucking company. The goal was to improve communication and productivity by providing secure and reliable access to company resources for employees on the road.

The project began with the installation of a virtual server using enterprise-grade solutions to ensure robustness and scalability. The virtual server was configured to provide remote access to company resources through a Virtual Private Network (VPN) system. This enabled employees to securely access company data and applications from any location using their laptops or mobile devices.

The network infrastructure was built around a high-performance router to provide fast and reliable internet access. A layer 2 switch was also installed to segment the network and improve security.

To ensure wireless connectivity for employees on the road, wireless access points (WAPs) were strategically placed in the office and trucking yards. This allowed employees to connect to the network using their mobile devices while they were on the premises.

The VPN system and WAPs were configured to use enterprise-grade security protocols to ensure that data transmitted over the network was protected from unauthorized access.

The project was completed on schedule and within budget. The trucking company has reported improved communication and productivity among employees. The virtual server and VPN system have also enabled the company to save costs by reducing the need for physical servers and dedicated office space for remote employees.
